Cold Force MX-5 Intake for 2006-2011 Models (Victory White Intake Tube) - Racing Beat introduces the Cold Force Intake for the MX-5 Miata. Designed to utilize the full benefit of a cold air ram effect, the Cold Force MX-5 Intake System allows pressurized, cooler ambient air to enter the intake system. Each Cold Force High Flow system includes: a machined-aluminum mass air follow sensor housing, power-coated intake tube, high density plastic ram air duct, a genuine, custom-engineered K&N air filter element, complete mounting hardware, and fully detailed installation instructions.
The high-density ram air inlet duct is securely housed behind the front bumper and is positioned to draw forced-air through the MX-5's main grill opening. Housed firmly inside the ram air inlet duct is a full-length K&N filter element, which attaches to the sturdy intake tube to direct air to the mass airflow senor. The passageway through which the intake tube enters the engine compartment is tightly sealed with a triple-wall neoprene foam gasket. The machined-aluminum MAF housing positions the critical MAF sensor precisely in the airflow path for accurate monitoring.
Like all Racing Beat intake systems, we include a genuine K&N air filter element with the Cold Force MX-5 Intake System. We are often asked why we offer the K&N unit when other "cheaper" filters are available. While there are certainly other "cheaper" and less expensive filters available, our remarkable success with the K&N brand, combined with their strong brand awareness, customer support, and a reliable, high quality product, makes the selection of the K&N filter a very logical choice! All K&N filters can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely with the K&N Filtercharger Kit, available separately.
Each kit comes complete with all required mounting hardware and can be installed by the week-end mechanic, using only simple hand tools. The current mass air flow sensor units are finished with a CLEAR ANODIZED surface coating - not BLUE as shown in the photo. The MAF sensor units are matte SILVER in color.
